• Global carbon markets received a boost as COP29 negotiators ratified a framework for U.N.-backed carbon credit trading between countries, potentially unlocking billions in climate finance. The ruling under Article 6.4 of the Paris Agreement establishes a standard-setting body for assessing carbon-credit programs, a move seen as critical for directing resources to the developing world and saving up to $250 billion annually. – WSJ

• 11/14/24: Climate tech startup Vaulted Deep, which is locking away planet-warming carbon by burying organic waste deep underground, has raised $32 million in funding to expand operations. – Reuters
