  • The CCUS industry is set to reach 420 million metric tons per annum by 2035, up from 140 million metric tons in 2022 (an 18% CAGR). BloombergNEF expects the U.S. market to own nearly 40% of the carbon capture capacity by 2035. – BloombergNEF
  • The U.S. Energy Department announced $3.5 billion from the federal 2021 infrastructure law will be used to amp up domestic production of advanced batteries and battery materials. – S&P Global Markets.

Transactions:

  • 11/10/23: Manulife Investment Management has raised $224.5 million to buy timberland. Manulife has indicated that it will prioritize carbon sequestration over wood production. – WSJ
