Recent Market News:

  • The federal government is expected to soon announce Colorado River water cuts, and the decision will impact more than 40 million people across the Southwest. – Fox 10 Phoenix
  • Authors of a new study on laws that manage the Colorado River are calling for change: They want to see water officials scrap an old rule and allow more water to make its way to major reservoirs. – KJZZ
  • The dismantling of four hydroelectric dams, which began in June 2023 and has involved hundreds of workers, is the largest dam removal effort in U.S. history. The removal of these dams is allowing water to flow freely along more than 40 miles of the Klamath for the first time in more than a century. – LA Times

  • 8/27/24: NV5 Global announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Weston Solutions’ California Water Resources Group, a provider of regulatory compliance services related to ports, waterways, watersheds, and other aquatic environments. – Yahoo Finance
  • 8/15/24: Verdantas, a leading integrated environmental science, engineering, and consulting firm announced that it has acquired CBEC Eco Engineering, a water resources engineering and ecological restoration company. – Verdantas
  • 8/14/24: DCCM, a provider of design, consulting, and program & construction management services, announced the acquisition of Peoples & Quigley, Inc., a civil engineering firm specializing in water resources including dams and embankments engineering, potable water, and wastewater solutions. DCCM
  • 8/13/24: Ferguson Enterprises announced the acquisition of United Water Works, a major distributor of piping and water, storm and sewer products. – Ferguson
